Tracee's Story

I was born and raised in the church and always had a sense of the love of Christ. I always found it easy to praise and serve the Lord.
My years with SFC were good ones; the Lord truly blessed and opened many doors for us. We were ministering to people and we felt we were making a difference in the lives of individuals.
Well, with triumph came tragedy. I lost my mother and it took the life out of me. No longer did I have the desire to serve, talk, praise, or witness. It was a very dark time in my life.
Slowly, I began listening to the voice of the Lord and the calling He gave to SFC.
We started having prayer sessions together, including worship and bible study. After some time had passed, we started doing the one thing that had always brought me joy and fulfillment--ministering. Even though I was broken and still wounded, healing came by way of talking to others and helping others.
God put people and situations in our paths to help. During this time in Cleveland, there was a series of murders. Families lost loved ones through senseless acts of violence. As it so happened, I knew or came across someone who knew the families. We were able to reach out to those families and supply them with not only words of encouragement, but also financial blessings.
It was during those times that I was able to forget about my pain and loss and began to move forward.
I still have some dark days. But because I believe God has anointed this ministry and has called each and every one of us to serve, I, like Paul, will keep on pressing to the prize of the high calling. Please pray for our ministry. It is my desire is to meet each and every one of you in heaven.
Blessings!
